If you’re sat here looking at this picture and thinking “ugh…”, well how do you think I feel?  This was such a disappointment.  The formula was streaky and hard to work with.  The only positive thing about Blue Med if that it dried SO fast… buuuut if you made any mistakes you were stuck with them. I applied about 3 coats of this and you can still see my nails underneath.  Avoid! x x x

Oops! I Seem To Have Slipped and Fallen For The Hype… | Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micelle Solution

Beauty

Last month as part of my cruelty free series, I reviewed the B. Pure Micellar Water.  Despite it being £4.99 and BUAV cruelty free I didn’t like it *boos from the audience*.  I mentioned in my review that as I didn’t get on with it, I was now wary of trying Bioderma in case the same happened again.   Some little wizards saw this and offered me the chance to try it for myself. Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micelle Solution ツ is a 3-in-1 cleansing water that promises to eliminate impurities without drawing out moisture from the skin.  Using soothing and decongesting ingredients, …

I must admit, I did use this month as an excuse to buy lots of shiny, new things.  This was one of them! EcoTools are a brand passionate about being gorgeous, yet green.  Quoted as being a leader in eco-conscious beauty products, they take pride in offering cosmetic accessories that respect our little Earth. I’ve always been intrigued by the EcoTools section in the Boots.  What made them different?  Like Real Techniques, the EcoTools Bamboo Buffing Brush uses 100% cruelty free synthetic Taklon bristles that have been hand cut for custom coverage. The ultra soft, flat top is perfect for buffing pressed and loose powder make-up whilst …

FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! | Figs and Rouge Wild Cherry Lip Balm v Vaseline Pink Bubbly

I will start off by saying that this post was inspired by Andy of Pampered Prince’s post of a similar nature.  As I reviewed the F&R balm on Saturday, I thought it would be interesting to do my own spin of it – especially as this month is all about natural and cruelty free alternatives. You can all put down your pitchforks now, and get comfortable. I do want to say a big fat SORRY for being AWOL yesterday – the internet at my home is shocking and only one of us can go on at a time.. so if …

Figs and Rouge Wild Cherry Balm

Put down that Vaseline! They say: Ultra-hydrating & Multi-tasking. Figs and Rouge 100% Natural – Nourishing Balm keeps lips delicious & super soft throughout the day. I say: I had seen Figs and Rouge floating around on a few blogs and it wasn’t long before I had given into the hype. It’s inevitable. There is no point in me attempting to fight it any more. I suffer with dry, scabby, completely unattractive lips and most lip balms just do not work. I’ve tried Blistex, Vaseline (ugh), Chapstick, Nivea… the only one that has worked so far has been my beloved Palmer’s Cocoa …
