Has it really been a year since my last Kawaii Box? Where has the time gone? I was over the moon when the amazing team at Kawaii Box got in touch about reviewing a box AND letting me give one away to one lucky person. Read on to find out what I thought of the September 2016 Kawaii Box… and how you can win one yourself.
Kawaii Box – September 2016
Kawaii Box is the cutest monthly subscription service. Subscribe Now and receive a box filled with hand-picked kawaii items from Japan and Korea directly to your home every month. Your box will be shipped in the beginning of each month and the shipping is absolutely free, anywhere on the planet! Each box includes 10-12 cute, original and licensed kawaii items.
Let’s talk about my favourite items in this box…
Long time readers of my blog will know how much I enjoy DIY Candy Kits, so I was delighted to receive the Kracie Nyokinyoki Kororon DIY Candy Kit – one I have yet to try! *rubs hands in glee*
I’m a sucker for cute plushes, and the Soft Bunny Plush has already been given a spot on my book shelves. Look at it, it’s so cute! *squeals*
I’ll never say no to a new purse, and the Kawaii Animals Coin Purse will be great for keeping my loose change in (instead of hoarding it in my coat pockets!).
Is it a Kawaii Box if you don’t receive lots of adorable stationery?
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure what the Happy Day Notebook Set was at first. I didn’t know it was a notebook until I looked at the enclosed card with the list of items on. Oops! Will I ever turn down an adorable notebook?
Whilst I am sure I could get up to all sorts of mischief with the Invisible Secret Pen Set, I’ll be sensible and use it to start writing potential Christmas gift idea lists instead…
The Dream and Explore Notebook is a welcome addition to my (large) hoard of notebooks. I’ve had a flick through it and I was delighted to see it features lined pages. It will be excellent for writing down shopping lists, my monthly budget or indeed possible future blog posts (emphasis on possible… *guilty face*).
This small bag of Pokemon Ramune Candy will be going straight in my handbag for my next train journey.
Hair ties and pins… Where do they go? I know that I shouldn’t get too attached to the Harajuku Hair Loop Set as I will probably lose them all in about a week… They’re so cute though!
I think I have quite a few sheets of the Diamond Deco Stickers to use now – thanks, Kawaii Box! I need to think of something to use them on… Perhaps my lunchbox? Thoughts on a postcard, please!
I always need pens and pencils, and the Pastel Cupcake Pencil is a welcome addition to my desk. Normal pencils are so boring!
And finally, the Sweet Animals Sparkle Stickers are almost too cute and precious to use. How would I live with myself if they become torn or damaged?
What a lovely box of treats I received this month. I have to say, receiving this box has made me slightly miss receiving them every month… *sighs wistfully* I think Kawaii Box is a lovely gift idea for children and teenagers as it’s cheap, reliable and more importantly, fun. For those of you who can’t commit to an ongoing subscription, most of the items are available to buy on Blippo.com so you could even build your own Kawaii Box for special occasions such as birthdays, or even if you just want/need a treat!
Kawaii Box costs $18.90 (about £12-13) per month with free shipping. As far as I am aware, they ship all over the globe but if you live in a remote part of the world perhaps check their website before committing to any subscription! The box is sent via Singapore Post and you are provided with a tracking number. It will take about two weeks to arrive and there are no custom charges to pay. There are a number of ways to subscribe, such as an ongoing subscription or fixed month subscriptions for 3 or 6 months, making them a great gift idea.
