It’s once again OyatsuBox time, yay! For those of you not so familiar with my blog, OyatsuBox is a monthly subscription box service from Japan. For $7.99, $16 or $25 per month, you receive a box of Japanese confectionery and savoury goods. Let’s have a look inside!
This is an item I have seen a few times on my reading list. I have never tried it before, so I am very excited to finally try it. I imagine this to be similar to popcorn in a sense, and it is strawberry flavoured . I will investigate and report back!
Yay for Hi-Chew! Hi-Chew is always a welcome addition to my stash as it’s hard not to like it. It’s a chewy, fruity sweet with plenty of flavour. I love cherry flavoured anything so this will not be a disappointment.
Kracie Neru Neru Nerune – Mystery DIY Candy Kit *Premium Box Only*
Woohoo, another DIY candy kit! I love receiving them, and I love trying them. This is yet another Neru Nerune kit that I am fairly confident in being able to do. This particular kit sounds rather exciting as you get three mystery flavours which you can eat separately or eat them together to create another flavour. You can guarantee I will be featuring this on the blog soon.
Pote Long – Ramen Flavour *Premium Box Only*
These are crunchy potato chip sticks with a ramen flavour. It has been a while since I’ve had some actual ramen so these might be able to keep the cravings away for a while…
Shigekix Energy Drink *Premium Box Only*
I am so excited to try these. These are billed as the ultimate sour candy from Japan. They have an energy drink flavour, which is supposed to make them even more sour and powerful! Again, I will definitely let you all know how I get on.
You can never go wrong with a packet of FITS. FITS are small sticks of chewing gum. This Mario adorned variety is ginger ale flavoured. This is something I’ll pop in my bag for the train!
Chocolate biscuits with a tropical flavour? Oh my. This is something that can either be nice… or not so nice . I will try them and report back!
Hokkaido Milk Candy *Premium Box Only*
I am hoping these will be similar to my beloved Fujiya Milky sweets. Regardless of whether they are similar, I am sure these will still be nice.
Oooh chocolate! This is a chocolate wafer biscuit, although I think it would be too small to do a review. I am actually more focused on the collectable card that features Star Wars characters in Chibi style. There I was, feeling sad that I wouldn’t be able to save the packaging, and I get a little card to save – yay!
Yokai Watch – Soda Candy
Yay, Yokai Watch! I honestly need to look into this series as it does sound like something I will enjoy. *adds it to my “to do” list* . These are, simply put, ramune flavoured candies. Ramune, in case you didn’t know, is a flavour that I describe as being a mixture of bubblegum and lemonade. Anything ramune flavoured goes down well with me.
Pokemon Gashapon – Goodnight Friends – Chespin
Awww! This is so cute – it’s a sleeping Pokemon! I wish it was a keyring but hey, you can’t have everything. I want to collect ’em all!
I am really impressed with September’s box. There is a lot here I will be able to try without fear. I love the Sleeping Pokemon Gachapon. I’m dying to try the Shigekix Sour Candies, the Caramel Corn and the Kracie Neru Nerune DIY Candy Kit , so you should expect to see them pop up on the blog soon.
I also have to say that I am a big fan of the new packaging, OyatsuBox! It looks very snazzy indeed.
OyatsuBox is a monthly subscription service from Japan. The box I receive is the Premium OyatsuBox, which is $25 for 10-14 full size items per month. There is also the Junior Service, at $7.99 per month where you receive 3 full size items per month, or the normal OyatsuBox that is $16 for 6 full size treats. I prefer the $25 service personally as you get so much to try, and it will last you until the next box comes! Shipping is free and there are no custom charges to pay. The boxes are sent out at the start of each month and take about two weeks to arrive.
OyatsuBox contain a mixture of sweet and savoury items but do not worry, you receive an information sheet in English with the box so you know what each item is.
What’s your favourite item in the box?

I am working with OyatsuBox at the moment, and as part of this work they have kindly offered me a free subscription. I wanted to make it clear to you all that this has only started from May’s box. My boxes from September to April were not provided for free. If you have any questions, queries or doubts, please email me. I would be happy to put your mind at ease.
