During my recent blog break, I was having a think (not too hard though, I might have hurt myself! ) about what I could do to improve things on here. I realised that I don’t particularly share much about myself on here; I bang out review after review and that’s about it! I’ve always wanted to incorporate more of my personal life through lifestyle posts on my blog but I never knew how to approach it. I thought I would give it a go by sharing with you all today the goals I am setting myself in October. I set myself a few goals in September and I found it helped me to be a lot more productive and generally happier!
BLOG GOALS:
Blog every day in October
This is a pretty big goal ( ok, huge! ) but I owe it to you all having abandoned you in August and September without explanation. I want to have a post up every day if possible , but not by writing a load of posts at the end of the month and sneakily back dating them. I am only cheating myself at the end of the day. *stern look at self in the mirror* This is the only blog related goal I am only setting myself this month as it won’t be easy.
PERSONAL GOALS:
Read 4 books
I set myself this challenge in September and I completed it – yay me! I want to do it again in October and it’s a goal I feel pretty confident about achieving. It’s about one book a week which is do-able for me.
Watch a Japanese film
It has been far too long since I have sat down and enjoyed a Japanese film; I am a little ashamed. I blame Netflix. And books. Mostly Netflix though. I am hoping to either watch Satsujin Hensachi 70 (Murder Standard Score 70) which stars my beloved Haruma Miura or a Studio Ghibli film, perhaps My Neighbours the Yamadas or Arriety the Borrower .
Do not buy any books or make up
I put myself on an immediate spending ban when I realised that I had more stuff then I actually needed. Far too much. This is another goal that I set myself in September, and even though Amazon in particular tried to catch me out with their Kindle deals I am proud to say I resisted .
When it comes to the beauty aspect of my spending ban, the high street hasn’t been that exciting recently which has definitely helped . I have only been buying items when they have truly needed replacing. I have to say it’s such a satisfying feeling watching my savings slowly go up, and my stash go down.
Finish That 70’s Show on Netflix (or finish Season 7 at least)
I am currently under this show’s spell and I desperately need to escape. I need to be doing things that are productive, such as reading and blogging. I am debating whether to cancel Netflix in its entirety and only re-sign back up when Orange is the New Black returns, or whether I can trust myself to take it slow with another show. I have two seasons left of this show now and knowing my sloth-like self, I will be able to at least finish one of the seasons this month. If you have any recommendations for me about what I should watch next I would love to hear them.
Have you set yourself any goals for October?

You should definitely watch RuPaul’s Drag Race, it’s on Netflix from season 2 (you don’t need to watch season 1) and it’s honestly my favourite thing!
Good luck with your goals @ me if you need to gossip about RuPaul :)
I am loving the look of your blog doll! I completely agree I need to stop buying make up and books too haha xxx
