Build Your Own Kawaii Box with Blippo.com!

Hello! Like all my Japan-related posts, my Kawaii Box posts are the ones that get you all a’clicking!   This was noticed by the team behind Kawaii Box, Blippo.com , and they got in touch with me if I would like to receive a few items from their website…

A Hello Kitty TY miniature beanie baby bag charm? Yes please! (Does anyone else still have all their TY beanie babies?)  I just cannot clip her to my bag, she is too special for that.   I think it might be her little feet that completely slay me.  This is only £2.60 on Blippo.com which is a real bargain when you think it would retail for about £5 in a toy shop over here.  There are also other character plushies available such as Totoro, Nemuneko, Rilakkuma and most importantly.. ALPACAS.

You can imagine my delight to see that I had received a bag of Kabaya Watermelon Gummy Candy .  I’ve managed to spare some time to give these a go so look out for a post on these soon!  There are £2.60 as well which I think is reasonable.  Blippo.com stock other confectionary items such as biscuits, chocolate and DIY candy kits which is perfect for those cursed with a sweet tooth.

Yet another item that may be too adorable for me to use are the Panda Hairpins .  I love pandas.  I do not feel as if I tell you that enough.  I think I will use these hairpins in a half up half down kind of hairstyle as they feel fairly sturdy and resilient enough to take on my bird’s nest.  Blippo.com have about 41 panda-related items on their website… someone hide my bank card?

“But where did the “Build Your Own Kawaii Box” come from?” I hear you moan.  You see, Kawaii Box was created by the Blippo team, so you can buy most of the items from the Kawaii Boxes direct from Blippo themselves.  If we look at the items in my  October Kawaii Box , I can find 5 items out of the 10 I received on Blippo.com – the Nemuneko plush , Puccho sweets , Rilakkuma squishy , Lovely Rabbit Stickers and the Hello Kitty pen .

I think being able to “build your own Kawaii Box” is is perfect for those of you who like the idea of Kawaii Boxes but can’t (or won’t!) commit to a monthly subscription, or for those of you who are a bit older than Kawaii Box’s target audience and don’t want to take a gamble on receiving a box containing loom bands (no, I haven’t forgotten!).   I think this would be a great idea for Christmas; either buy small items for stocking fillers or have a huge blowout and present your loved one with a box full of kawaii goodness.   Hey Blippo.com, if you make this happen I want credit! *wink wink*

Another point to raise is that as Kawaii Boxes are shipped at the beginning of the month, you have to be subscribed before that time to receive it or you will have to wait until the month after to receive a box.  Blippo.com ship their items at any time in the month and orders are processed quickly.  Blippo.com ship worldwide for and basic shipping is free.  Basic shipping takes about 2-3 weeks to arrive.   You can also pay a bit more for express shipping with a tracking number if you are in a hurry (Christmas is only 7 Mondays away…).
