Soap and Glory Supercat Eyeliner

Posted in Beauty

Happy Valentines Day! <3  I hope you are all being spoilt rotten, whether it’s by a loved one or from yourself.  My gift to you today is another make up review – wahoo!  Let’s talk about the Soap and Glory Supercat Eyeliner. *pats seat next to self*

Soap and Glory Supercat Eyeliner Famous in Japan

Soap and Glory Supercat Eyeliner – £6.00 at Boots

They say:

Featuring our unique INKJET™ colour release & Gloss–Fix™ finish to give a rich and intense colour. The foolproof marker tip creates two looks – Fine point for a natural look or thick edge adds a dramatic flash!

I say:

Before I bought this, I didn’t really use eyeliner, in general, that much.  I think my early teenage years of using cheap versions of liquid eyeliner that ran into my eyes and gave me, quite literally, black eyes and clumpy eyelashes scarred me for life!  *cringes violently*

When I got a bit older but definitely not any wiser, I fancied joining the cult of the upper lid liners.  I think I bought this liner as I was having quite the torrid love affair with Soap and Glory products at that time and their make up line hadn’t been in Boots that long (this is how long I’ve had this!)

The nib on this pen has a good point, and for beginners like me it makes it easy to line your lids.  I think for those who  like a thin line, this may not be for you.  The nib it isn’t firm enough to make suuuuper thin line, but as it’s quite soft it doesn’t drag on my eyelid or pull.

If my eyebrows are bad it’s because I hadn’t “done” them – please be kind and do not judge! *wails*

The staying power is okay; I wouldn’t say its waterproof and that it will absolutely not budge.  It is prone to moving and smudging if you rub your eyes or when perhaps you have suddenly got a little sweaty.  Example situations include checking bank balances, wondering if the sales assistant in Greggs is judging you for coming in 3 days in a row and post-Greggs sweats.

For me, this is a great product as it makes applying eyeliner easy.  I understand that for some it may not be quite what they’re looking for – but hey, that’s life.

What’s your favourite upper lid liner?

This looks good on, but I’m rubbish at applying liner, so I think I’ll stick to the cheaper Collection 2000 one just in case I decide to ‘practice’ more :)

You did a good job to say you hardly wear it, well jel ;)

I love this! I’m not the best at applying liner, ok so for most of my life I’ve been shocking bad at it, but more recently I’ve been practising and this definitely makes it a lot easier if you’re a beginner or just not that good. It’s also fab that it’s only about £6/7. A definite winner :)
