Hello!  Today’s post is all about a product that I could not live without; the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

£9.99 at Boots

They say:

Real Techniques Expert Face brush is a wider, ultra firm face brush and a must-have beauty makeup accessory that will help to create a flawless base on your skin. The more time you spend on this first step of makeup application, the better the results at the end.  The Real Techniques Expert Face brush will help to apply and easily blend liquid or cream foundations, achieve your desired level of coverage and provide smooth, high definition results.

Made with ultra-plush, synthetic taklon bristles are hand-cut and 100% cruelty-free.

I say:

I have to say, blogging has improved my appearance.  Pre-blog, I had a monobrow, frizzy hair, blackheads galore and I didn’t have a clue how to apply make up.  Fast forward two years and I think I’m looking better.  One of the things I have learned through blogging is that make up always looks better applied with a brush.

Enter in the Real Techniques Expert Brush.  This was recommended to me by Jaye and I cannot thank her enough for encouraging me to accept this brush in my life as my personal (appearance) saviour.

Unlike traditional foundation brushes that are usually thin and flat, the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush is firmly packed with Teklon bristles that allow you to buff foundation on more easily, whilst providing great, even coverage.  My foundation has never looked so good since I started using it, and I rarely use any other brush for foundation now.  I personally like to smooth a thin layer of my chosen base product on my face, and then use the brush to pat and buff it into my skin.

Like the other Real Techniques brushes, I have experienced little or no shedding.  They wash easily and dry fast due to the cruelty free Taklon brushes. If you are hovering at the stand in Boots undecided about which to try, I honestly cannot recommend this brush more.  I’m sorry if this post seems a little short, but there really isn’t much more I can say, apart from BUY IT!

I currently use the Buffing brush when I do use liquid foundation but I have been very tempted by this brush for a while. If Boots had actually got the new Kabuki brush in stock yet I’d have probably picked up both of these and also the setting brush as part of the 3 for 2 x
