Another tag?! I hear you groan… Well, this is what happens when you let them build up! The “One and Only” tag was created by the awesome
Chesney Hawkes Angelica of One Little Vice and as I have met her in real life TWICE(!) I couldn’t not do it.
The Question: If you could only have one _____ what would it be? And, in a few words, why?
Benefit’s That Gal – It makes my face look nice, to put it simply. It looks dewy, fresh and it feels so smooth. It also smells quite fruity but not in an artificial way like you’re probably imagining right now!
Ginvera BB Cream – I L O V E this BB cream. I know I really need to review it but I’m scared of taking before and after pictures – yowza, they aren’t going to be pretty! It makes my skin look amazing and it’s so lightweight it feels like you’re wearing nothing at all… nothing at all.. nothing at all…
Benefit Fake Up Concealer
– I chose this concealer because if I really had to pick just “one” then this one would do. It’s really creamy and can be used under the eyes and on the face. Some stick concealers just look wrong when used to conceal dark circles; they have the tendency to cake or feel heavy. I have spoken about it in detail in my review.
Benefit Hello Flawless Powder – I was very close to choosing Rimmel Stay Matte but when it really came down to it this powder gives amazing coverage and makes my face look HD. It is pricey for what I would ever pay for a powder but like I said.. if I could only have ONE…
Blush (cream or powder)
Benefit Bella Bamba – I seem to have fallen out of love with blush at the moment; I haven’t used one in ages! I have chosen Bella Bamba as it applies quite subtle to begin with and can be built up for a more intense colour.
Benefit Sunbeam- Another Benefit product, don’t hate me! I just cannot get the hang of bronzer or contouring at all. This product is the only one that I can use and be happy with for a bit of a “glow” if I think my skin is looking a little lacklustre.
MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighter – Again, highlighter is another product I haven’t used for a while and I decided on the MUA one as it is alright and it’s only £3. It’s not the most accessible product – it has been sold out for a few weeks at the time of writing *grumble*.
Make-Up Brush (single)
The Real Techniques Buffing Brush – It just had to be this brush. You can use it for your base (i.e. foundation and powder) and for your blushes, highlighters and bronzers. It is a shame you can only buy it as part of the Core Collection as I think if you could buy it on it’s own it would encourage a lot more people to purchase. Take note, Samantha Chapman!
B. Groomed Eyebrow Pencil – I chose this pencil as it has the eyebrow pencil on one end, a “wax” on the other and a little brush on one of the lids. Job done.
Eye shadow (single)
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pink Gold – I have fallen in love with this particular Color Tattoo and I would definitely recommend it to those who have yet to try. I find it makes my eyes seem softer and less harsh.
Soap & Glory Supercat – This eyeliner has one of the thinnest nib’s I’ve used and it makes it so easy for me to get close to the lash line. It’s not always something I use as my eyelids are weird; when I apply mascaras I always get a line on my eyelid as if I have drawn it on with liquid eyeliner. Does this happen to anyone else?!
Benefit They’re Real
– Even though I have a stockpile of at least 20+ mascaras, I would choose this one if I was only allowed one. It does it all – lengths, curls, defines… It’s my Holy Grail mascara! Read my review to see some before and after pictures!
Lipstick, Lip Gloss or Lip Stain
Clinique Chubby Stick in Chunky Cherry – THIS QUESTION WAS TOO HARD! How on earth can I choose just ONE red lipstick?! It’s impossible! *has mental breakdown* I decided on the Chubby Stick as it is one of my favourite products. It was also the product that I used to build up my confidence wearing red lips and through that confidence I have been able to go brighter and darker. We owe my red lipped-selfies to this product!
I don’t use lip liner, ever. I prefer to live my life on the edge and take a chance with runaway lipstick. Sorry!
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Lip Balm – This has been one of my favourite products from when I was a young ‘un. I went through so many lip balms and this is the only one that stayed true to it’s word. It also has an SPF included as not many people use SPFs on their lips; they can burn and blister in the sun people!
Barry M Nail Paint in Black – Feel free to shout “mosh mosh, gerra wash” at me how many times you like, there is nothing better than black nails. Black nails go with any outfit, any make up, any mood… Black nails deserve more love!
What products would be your “one and only”?
