Hello! Cor, where has this heatwave come from? I am melting… MELTING! *sticks head in freezer* Let’s have a look at the products I was reaching for in June, shall we?
La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL Comfort Cream / Benefit They’re Real Mascara / Vichy Dermablend Powder / Oriflame THE ONE Eyeliner Stylo / Rimmel x Kate Moss Lipstick in 111 / Urban Decay Naked Basics
La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL Comfort Cream SPF 50+
The La-Roche Posay Anthelios SPF 50+ has been a godsend. The coastline has been so hot, and I was worried about the effect it would have on my face, particularly as I have some moles on my face and neck. Since I have started using this SPF in the morning, I’ve noticed that I haven’t had any new freckles appear. The Comfort Cream is so moisturising too, it’s helped to reduce any dryness or flakiness I would have had by now. Thank you, La Roche-Posay, for saving my face!
I have been using the Benefit They’re Real mascara every single day in June. For me, it’s the ultimate budgeproof mascara and in these hot times, you need something that will stay with you all day. I always forget how much I love this mascara and then when I use it – BAM, I remember. It lengthens, curls and adds noticeable definition.
Whilst the Vichy Dermablend Powder isn’t a full coverage powder, I have been pairing it with a light BB cream to keep my coverage in place without weighing down my face with a heavy foundation. It’s so lightweight, it doesn’t even feel like I’m wearing a powder.
The Oriflame THE ONE Eyeliner Stylo is something I have talked about fairly recently. This is another product I have reached for every single day in June. It stays put all day but yet can be removed at bed time. I know I should probably use the other eyeliners in my stash, but this eyeliner keeps calling me back.
Rimmel x Kate Moss Lipstick in 111
Rimmel x Kate Moss Lipstick in 111 is one of my favourite red lipsticks ever. It is a bright semi-matte red that feels comfortable on the lips and lasts a reasonably long time. I have nearly finished up this lipstick, and I am debating whether to repurchase another one or concentrate on reducing the stash… I’m thinking I should repurchase another…
Urban Decay Naked Basics
I love Urban Decay eyeshadows; they are a lighter alternative to eye primers for keeping my eyes fairly oil-free. In these hot times, I really do not want any heavy formulas on my eyes. Walk of Shame is my favourite shade in the palette; it makes my eyes look better without trying. It won’t be long before I hit pan on this shade, leaving the rest of the shades untouched in comparison. *frantically searches the internet for dupes*
What have you been lovin’ lately?
