Lee Stafford ARGANOIL Flexible Hold Hairspray

Posted in Beauty

Hello! You can tell that summer is approaching when I whip the hairspray out.  Ain’t nobody got time for a ruined hairstyle!  I have been reaching for the Lee Stafford ARGANOIL Flexible Hold Hairspray a lot lately to keep my curls in check.

Lee Stafford ARGANOIL Flexible Hold Hairspray - Famous in Japan

Lee Stafford ARGANOIL Flexible Hold Hairspray

£9.99 – Boots

They say:

Lee Stafford ARGANOIL from Morroco Flexible Hold Hairspray is a luxurious, light hairspray, for ultra-soft, natural looking hold. Containing argan oil, this hairspray has the added benefit of helping to create smooth and sleek hair, that lasts all day.

I say:

Truth be told, I haven’t gotten on with Lee Stafford products in the past.  They haven’t worked for me that well, plus I’m not a fan of the trademark “scent” in his normal “Pink Range”.  When I was gifted a couple of his products from the ARGANOIL range at the Blog Yorkshire meet, I was hesitant of trying them.  After hearing my fellow attendees gush about the products a few weeks later, I decided to bite the bullet and give the hairspray a go.

Without sounding unnecessarily undramatic, I think that this hairspray is possibly one of the best hairsprays that I’ve tried.  No joke.  It holds my curls in place all day, without the horrible crunchy texture.  It doesn’t give my hair a dull appearance nor does it weigh it down either.   I can run my fingers through my hair and it feels so soft and smooth.   I’m not sure whether the amount of argan oil present in the ingredients is enough to make an actual difference to my hair, but there is an ingredient in there doing something!  And the smell?  Well it isn’t the traditional “Pink Range” scent – thank goodness!  To my uneducated nose, it’s a sweet musk that doesn’t have the sharp sting of a traditional hairspray.

At £9.99, it is one of the more expensive offerings on the high street for a hairspray.  I’m sure if I tried, I could find a hairspray that gave similar effects to this one for less.  However, at the moment I am more then happy to continue to repurchase this particular one.

What’s your hairspray of choice?  Do you have any hidden gems to share?

I used to use Lee Stafford products so much in my younger days, but I don’t really pay them much attention now. I don’t often use hairspray really, but I love the idea of it containing argan oil, so I might give this one a go!

I like the look of this, but the price definitely puts me off! I think the only reason I’d go for this is if it really does have Argan benefits, because I really like the Fudge Urban Iced Raspberry and Vanilla Hairspray (no crunch and awesome smell!). xx

It is pricey for the high street! Ooh I’ve heard of that, but I have yet to see it. I need to go on a proper hunt for it and make it mine :) xx

Ooo I’ve been intrigued by the new Argan Oil range, and this sounds like it’s worth a try. I hate ‘crunchy’ hairspray but I also can’t stand it when my curls fall out immediately

With having really straight hair, I’ve never really needed much hairspray (except my fringe is a nightmare and keeps ‘splitting’ in the middle!) So I still have the hairspray I bought around 7 years ago (well to be fair it’s the biggest can I’ve ever seen in my life, it takes up a large amount in my drawer! Without having much need for hairspray, the price is definitely a detterant. It looks good though.

It is good for me and what I need it for. If your huge can of hairspray does the job for you and lasts 7 years, that’s good for you! That means more money you can spend on other treats :D xx

I was recommended this when looking for a new hairspray but didn’t want to spend so much! Wondering whether I should have bitten the bullet now, sounds great! xx

I’m a hairspray hater! BUT I can only use the Shielo Flexible Hold Hairspray – its weightless and allows me to smooth flyaways without feeling heavy, sticky, or hard. It keeps my hair flexible and soft and doesn’t leave a visable residue like other sprays.
