Tony Moly Superbox | Unboxing and First Impressions

Hello!  Some of you have may or may not have heard of Memebox ; a website that brings you the best of Korean Beauty in beauty box form.  You can choose from the classic Memebox or you can pay a little bit more for a Superbox .   The Superboxes are super in that they contain full size items and can sometimes be a special “brand box” where all the items are from one brand.  After reading lots of posts about them on Kel’s blog, Adventures in Tea and Cake , I was very naughty and ordered two Superboxes.  One of these was the Tony Moly Superbox.

I’ll start off with skincare!  First up, it’s the Apple Tox Smooth Massage Peeling Cream .  It is described as “a multi-rich cream enriched with green apple extracts, AHA and papaya extracts and which works as a massaging, moisturising and peeling cream all in one” .  This sounds intriguing and I have high expectations for this.  My skin is a little dull and lacklustre at the moment so I’m hoping this will give it a boost.

The next product I received was the Egg Pore Shiny Skin Soap .  I’m not too sure about this as it is described as “being made from fertile eggs soaked in vinegar” – really?! – yet it claims to “deliver moisture, nutrition, deep cleansing effect sebum control and pore care “.  If I do try it, I’ll let you all know!

My favourite item from the whole box was obviously going to be the Panda’s Dream White Magic Cream .  IT’S A PANDA! I love pandas!  As well as being unbelieveably cute packaging, the cream claims to “lock in moisture, brightens dull complexions, bring vitality back to the skin and even out skin tone” .  I will probably give this a go in the next few days as the sooner I use it up, the sooner I can re-use the packaging for a little desk ornament.

And now for the make up.  I received a Luminous Goddess Aura Beam ;  “a luminous gel cream that adds supple, healthy glow to the skin and minimises the look of skin imperfections”.   I take this to mean it’s a highlighter!  I think I shall mix this with my current base of choice ( the Bourjois CC Cream ) and have lovely, dewy skin.  Ooh, I’m excited now.

I feel the Delight Tint Crayon Neon may be wasted on me as it apparently goes wild under UV lights !  I received the shade Neon Orange which isn’t a shade I would have chosen myself and I would have much preferred Neon Cherry… but I suppose it’s good to try new things and colours once in a while.

Another new product for me to try is the Back Gel Eyeliner Long Brush in the shade Choco Brown.  I would have been boring and picked black personally, but a brown is good too!  I’m quite glad that a brush is included with this as I have 4 make up brushes to my name at the moment as I seem to have lost my collection during moving *sobs quietly in the corner*

And finally, the Mini Peach Lip Balm .  It’s ok to say it – it looks like a nipple.  Probably not a lip to take out and about with me but let’s face it, I have plenty of others to choose from!

I  am happy with the contents of my Tony Moly Superbox; I think I received a good mixture of items for me to try the brand out.  Unfortunately this box sold out within a few days so it’s not available for you to purchase – sorry!   This box was £32 (about £20) which I think is a real steal for 7 full size items. I would recommend that you check the site regularly as they’re always updating, and no doubt another Tony Moly box will be available soon.

What’s your favourite item from this box?

  1. Tony Moly is SO cute! I’ve never tried anything to verify whether the insides are as good as the outsides but I want to try the primer that comes in an egg xo

  3. When I went to Singapore I visited Tony Moly and got myself a peach handcream in the same (but bigger) packaging. From now on I might always see that comparison though;) Although it does also just look peachy.

Anyway, that panda is super cute! Their stuff usually is:)

Ugh, I know! I don’t think I want to use them. Is it genuinely eggs? You see, I want to use the panda one up so I can save the packaging forever and not have cream in it! x
