Hello! I’ve got another beauty post coming at you today – pow pow! As summer is beginning to start, I thought I would talk about the SEVENTEEN CC Cream as some of you may be looking at it as a potential replacement for your heavy winter foundations.

I say:
I can’t remember when exactly I bought the SEVENTEEN CC Cream; knowing myself it was probably when it first came out and I was lured in with some sort of offer! I do remember that the CC cream trend was just beginning when I bought this.
First off, the shade “Light” is not light. It is quite dark – I dread to think what colour Medium is! It does take a lot of blending to tone it down a little, and I would advise of you making sure it is blended down the neck and jawline. If we turn to the product itself now, the cream has an almost whipped, fluffy mousse texture and once applied on the skin it feels quite light; not in any way weighed down or heavy. It also makes your skin feel quite smooth to the touch, but to be honest it doesn’t feel like it’s moisturising my skin, something my skin needs in summer.
Here is my skin wearing the CC Cream. I would say the coverage is light to medium; I personally haven’t built up the coverage as I am scared about turning orange! I personally think it does give a soft matte look to my face. It doesn’t come up in my pictures that well, but there is a faint shimmer in the product which is supposed to give your skin a “glow”.
If the colour had been lighter, and the shimmer removed, I would have loved this product. It’s lightweight, it does offer some coverage and it has a SPF of 25. Sadly, the colour puts me off wearing it as I always feel self conscious of someone turning around and telling me my face and neck are two different colours. I think if SEVENTEEN formulated an “Extra Light” shade they could be on to a real winner.
Have you tried the SEVENTEEN CC Cream? What did you think? If you haven’t tried it, would you give it a go?

God, I hate BB/CC creams. Like you said, they are always too dark. I normally get ‘porcelain’ foundation and it’s such a pain in the arse when you want something lighter and you can’t find it *angry noises*

It is incredibly annoying, especially how it seems if you want a pale colour you have to go high end!
Such a shame it’s a bit of a non-starter. 17 have been doing really well this last year or two.
I really struggle with BB and CC creams though. The Bourjoismone is good for me, but does settle in pores after a while (probably cos I have dry skin).
I got a sample of the new Clarins tinted moisturiser last week, and loved it – their light shade is perfect. Coverage is super light but it’s gorgeous. Xx
Doh! Autocorrect error! ;(
Clearly meant to say Bourjois one!! Xx
I have the exact same problem with this… Too dark :( why are all UK BB/CC too dark.

I’ve not tried many seventeen products, none of the bb creams seem to come in many shades but my skin is pretty dark so maybe this is good for me! It’s nice to see another yorkshire blogger about too xx

This does seem really dark considering it’s “light” :(
I’ve yet to try a CC cream! I swear by my Maybelline BB cream but once that has emptied, I’ll move on to something new – I fancy a change! I’ll check this out next time I’m in boots xx
I think this looks really good on your skin, but if it’s too dark it’s too dark. I hate it when brands do that, it’s like they forget we’re in the UK and most of us are quite pale! x
