Hello! Since moving counties and switching water types, my hair is getting greasier faster than it used to, which of course my lazy little self hates. I have been reaching for the Paul Mitchell Dry Wash Waterless Shampoo a lot lately to cheat a lie-in in the morning.

Since discovering dry shampoos just a few years ago I’ve made my way through a few of them; Batiste, VO5, Lee Stafford, Tresemme and THIS ONE. What do they all have in common?

The Paul Mitchell Dry Wash Waterless Shampoo is my first high end dry shampoo. I’ve loved pretty much everything I have tried from Paul Mitchell in the past so my expectations were high to say the least.
From the first use, I could immediately tell the difference. It’s not like a typical dry shampoo that feels noticeably heavy and powdery from the first spritz; it feels a helluva lot lighter and more refreshing on my hair. To me, this is the love child of a dry shampoo and a hair refresher. It isn’t able to tackle the serious week-old hair that could supply grease to McDonalds for a week (I know, I’m a proper greb sometimes!), but it does give my three day old hair a noticeable refresh with some bounce and volume – it stops my hair sticking to my head and giving my grebby game away.
What I love about this offering from Paul Mitchell is that it doesn’t irritate my scalp, it doesn’t leave any telltale white marks and it doesn’t give me my own mini snowstorm like Olaf from Frozen. I do have to point out that if you simply spray this on the hair and do not massage and brush through, you will be left with white marks – even I’m not that lazy *side eyes* .
At £15.99, it is quite the jump from the high street prices most are used to. However, this bottle is a giant compared to some of the high street offerings (it’s huge!) and it’s still going strong after about 3 months with weekly usage. I would definitely buy it again in the future. Oh Paul Mitchell, what would my hair do without you?

I use Batiste a fair amount and it just doesn’t seem that great.
I definitely use dry shampoo to get an hours extra sleep, still looks greasy though! x
I might be able to get another month out of it but it still feels about half full so maybe even more!
I used to use Batiste but it used to really make my scalp itch and I would spend all day feeling uncomfortable :(

This is my favourite dry shampoo of all time… it’s just nothing like a dry shampoo, and it doesn’t have that awful fusty Batiste scent which actually makes me gag and think of greasy hair! I love it so much xx

I don’t use dry shampoos very often and I haven’t tried many, so I don’t think I’d spend that much on one. I’m loving the COLAB range from Ruth Crilly, though. No heavy, gunky residue, no chalky looking roots, lovely fragrances and surprisingly cheap.

This sounds like it is soooo much better than high street versions. I hate the horrible powdering feeling that they have on the hair. May have to give this a try!

I’ve been looking for an alternative to Batiste, I find it overly powdery, I think this one sounds like it’s worth splashing the cash for.
