Hello! Despite resolving to be more “remember-ful” in October last year, I still forgot to keep up with my monthly favourites. What am I like? Anyroad, let’s start chatting about the make up I was loving in January.
Max Factor Clump Defy Mascara ツ // Maybelline Color Drama Lip Pencil // Benefit Brows a Go Go Kit // Collection Lasting Perfection // Ginvera BB Cream
During the last few months of 2014 and into 2015, my skin had a mini breakdown. It was if it was cracking under the pressure of the inevitable new year resolutions, although it was more likely to be due to the bad eating habits we all develop over Christmas . My skin was spotty, dehydrated and angry. I relied a lot on the Ginvera BB Cream as it provided enough coverage to hide my imperfections, but the light formula meant that it wouldn’t aggravate my skin or make it worse.
For the horrible blemishes that just wouldn’t budge, I reached for the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer every single day . This stuff is magic. It hides EVERYTHING, and with a dusting of powder to set, lasts through the day.
It’s well known that I’m a commitment-phobe when it comes to mascaras, but the Max Factor Clump Defy Mascara is something special. It’s been responsible for keeping my lashes fluttery throughout January and it will be something I will be sharing with you all soon.
I finally hopped on the Maybelline Color Drama Lip Pencil band wagon after seeing a few reviews pop up on my reading list. The colour I have is “Light it Up” which is a lovely blue toned red that earns me compliments when I wear it. It feels comfortable on the lips and has impressed me so far with its longevity.
Even though I have a few brow palettes in my stash, I’ve been using my Benefit Brow a Go Go kit for months and months now. The colours in this kit are just perfect for my brows; no red or grey tone – hurrah!
What were you lovin’ in January?

I’ve been absolutely loving my supercat eyeliner, it glides on so well and I’ve been managing to get superb winged eyeliner! :)
Can’t beat Supercat! It’s great for practicing eyeliner :D x
I’m nuts about that bb cream – I’ve gone through do many little tubes of it !
It’s so gooood! So glad I can buy it at Harvey Nichols :) x
I’m in love with the Maybelline Color Drama Pencils too and ‘Light It Up’ is one of my favourite reds for making my teeth look whiter. I’ve been loving the new, Maybelline mascara, which gives lashes such incredible volume and the Sanctuary Spa 7-Day Moisture Miracle Balm has literally saved my skin from getting all dry and flakey, after the cold weather we’ve had!

Lots of lovely things! The Sanctuary balm sounds amazing. x
I have heard so many people hype up the collection concealer and considering it’s so cheap I really should try and nab it xxx
You should! x
I love Max Factor mascaras but I’ve never tried this one, which I ought to rectify! Gotta love the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, although they’ll always be Collection 2000 to me haha xx

Same here! I always call it Collection 2000 when I’m describing it to someone! x
I’ve heard so much about the Collection concealer but it’s always sold out! I love the Colour Drama crayons too, so good :)

Oh boooo! It’s so popular though I’m not surprised :) x
Why have I not seen the lip pencil before? Why have you not whatsapped me about this? Haha

I’ll try to show you next time I wear it :) x
Love Benefit brow products, never tried brows a go go though. Must reinvest in that collection concealer it’s been years since I’ve had it in my stash. Great choices!

Thank you! :) It’s just a mixture of Brow Zings and Eye Bright :) it’s just everything in one small palette! x
I bought some little samples of the Ginvera BB Cream to try out recently and I really love it! The coverage is great :) x

It is, and it feels so lovely on the skin. x
I bought the Colour Drama lip pencil in this colour ages ago, and promptly forgot about it until I saw it pop back up on blogs this week. I have now rediscovered my love for it.
As you say, the colour is really flattering and I also love how precise these pencil lipsticks are, as I’m pretty rubbish at being accurate!

Same here, I’m constantly going over my lip line and smudging it everywhere! I want more lip pencils now :D xx
We have plenty of Ginvera products here in Malaysia but I’m so guilty of not trying anything from them yet!
Whaaat! I am jealous :) I’d love to try some new bits from Ginvera. xx
Ill have to try the brows-a-go-go :D
