I have lots of empties to share with you this month – yay! This may be down to the fact I haven’t wrote my empties since July … but shh… it still counts!
Here’s a tip for you money conscious beauty lovers – buy your cotton wool pads and buds from the baby section . They’re cheap, but still of great quality. I am pretty loyal to the My Little Star range from Superdrug; they are cheap, easy to find and usually on offer. I get the large pads as they are more effective, and I only need to use about two per cleanse (one to do both eyes and one for my face). I would definitely recommend these and I will continue to repurchase.
Well doesn’t this picture just makes me look like a right Sweaty Betty! Remember, these are empties from July!
I tried the Mitchum deodorant after seeing a few advertisements, but it didn’t work for me. I then tried one from Dove. . and I loved it. It is effective at keeping me dry and I love the trademark smell of Dove. I tried the compressed versions when they were on offer, and I’m definitely a convert to them now. They are fantastic for travelling; they are so compact compared to the older versions! Another definite repurchase for me.
I’ve used up a few bits from LUSH this month! The LUSH Frozen Bath Bomb, LUSH Shoot For the Stars Bath Bomb and LUSH Rose Jam Shower Gel. Rose Jam seemed to go on forever and it was only a small bottle. I need to try more shower gels from LUSH if this is how long they last! I might repurchase Rose Jam if I manage to get to LUSH in time. I adored the Shoot For the Stars Bath Bomb and this is something I will definitely repurchase. I have actually repurchased LUSH Frozen, and I did so a few weeks ago. You just can’t go wrong with LUSH!
I’ve managed to use up some skincare these past few months, and I used up the Garnier Micellar Water Cleansing Wipes, Good Things Five Minute Facial Face Mask, The Body Shop Camomile Eye and Lip Make Up Remover and the Nip and Fab Glycolic Fix Pads. *and breathes*
The Body Shop Camomile Make Up Remover is a long time favourite and something I do repurchase often. The Good Things Five Minute Facial Face Mask is a great quick fix for oily skins but I have plenty of face masks to keep my face happy. It isn’t going to miss this particular one too much. The Garnier Micellar Water Cleansing Wipes is something I like to keep in my bag for emergency cleansing if I can’t use a proper cleanser. I try not to use them too much though! I tried the Nip and Fab Glycolic Pads after hearing many rave reviews but I didn’t use them regularly enough to see a difference. They are quite expensive and I would only repurchase them if they were on offer and I could commit to use them regularly.
I am so proud that I have managed to get rid of some make up these past few months. I used up the Benefit High Beam, Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation and REN Satin Perfection BB Cream . I desperately needed to bin the Maybelline Dream Touch Blush, Avon Glimmerstick, and Tinker Wink Eyeliners.
I wouldn’t repurchase Benefit High Beam as it is so expensive and to be honest, not worth the price. I loved the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation and I will buy this again when I’ve used up a few more foundations. I wouldn’t repurchase the REN BB Cream as it is more for those with clear, smooth skin. It’s not suitable for us pale folk as it is quite orange! The Maybelline Dream Touch Blush and Avon Glimmerstick are things I have had for ages and needed to be binned. The Tinker Wink eyeliners dried up pretty quickly and became unusable, so it was best to also put them in the bin.
Another two items I needed to bin as well were the THIS ONE Dry Shampoo and the John Frieda Secret Agent Cream . I’ve had them for practically years! The Reveur Japanese Haircare Samples were something I reached for when I was without shampoo. They didn’t do anything memorable, they just did the job.
Have you used up anything exciting lately?
Dannie x
I didn’t even think it was possible to use up high beam, I have had mine many, many years….
