I’m so sorry if you were expecting my usual candy review.  Unfortunately my wisdom teeth are giving me hell and I can only chew on one side of my mouth.  I didn’t want to put up any half-arsed reviews  (I would never be able to forgive myself!) so I thought I would cheer myself up by doing a little bit of window shopping, and sharing with you all what I currently have my eye on.  Who knows, maybe one of you will justify any purchase? *flutters eyelashes*

Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette / Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick in Outlaw / MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick / NARS Sheer Glow Foundation / Nanshy Foundation Brush Set

For some reason I can’t stop drooling over the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons palette .  All of their palettes are pretty, but for some reason I really want this particular one.  During the Christmas break, I experimented with my cheap MUA palettes and decided that I rather liked wearing eyeshadow.  Obviously my brain now thinks that it is ok to drop £40 on an eyeshadow palette.   No, brain.  It doesn’t work like that.  It doesn’t help when super babes like Laurzrah tell me I need it… *sigh*   Look at that purple though!

Another Laurzrah enabled item I really want is the Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick in Outlaw .   Luckily for my bank balance, Kat Von D products are only available through Sephora online.  I have to say that the prospect of paying an extra £25 on a £75+ order is definitely a good deterrent from ordering!    There are some rumours floating around that Kat Von D may be coming to England, but that’s all they are at the moment – rumours – so please do not take my word as gospel.  Until then I will have to be content with simply admiring it on blogs and on the Sephora website.

An item I didn’t even know I wanted until today  is the MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick.  I was just innocently browsing British Beauty Blogger and I saw her blog post about the new collection.  It was when I saw her describe Feels So Grand as “ the reddest red ” she had ever come across that I decided that I needed it.  I do have a red lip loving reputation to uphold

I feel like the only beauty blogger who hasn’t tried the cult  NARS Sheer Glow foundation , but I just can’t bring myself to spend £30+ on a foundation.  I grumble when I have to spend £10 at Boots!  Should the day come where I have absolutely no base products whatsoever, that will be the day I allow myself to finally purchase it.     That’s the rule.

I absolutely adore my Nanshy Eye Brush Set , so it was only a matter of time before my beady eyes wanted the Foundation Set .  I know Bed In The Kitchen loves her set, and she always looks amazing.   If I buy these brushes, will I look amazing too?  That’s how it works, right?

Are you currently lusting over anything?  Let us sob together…

  2. I’m really hoping Kat Von D is coming to the UK as I’d really like to try one of her liquid lipsticks and her liquid liner as well. I’ve also got my eye on one of the new MAC lipsticks but I’m disappointed they’re £21 each. Oh and I haven’t tried Sheer Glow! x

If it makes you feel better, I’ve not tried a NARS foundation either! I really wanted to for a while, but it’s so expensive and the last time I spent that much on a foundation it was MAC and it really disappointed me. Also, I read that it wasn’t great for combination / greasy skin, so that rapidly quashed my longing for it.

I’m actually not longing for any beauty products at the moment. Every time I find myself wanting something, I keep reminding myself of the travel plans I’m saving for.

You gotta get the NARS foundation girl! Do you have a Space NK near you? I asked for a sample from them after being colour matched, so I got to try it out first. I was the same as you, the price put me off and I didn’t want to splurge for the risk of hating it! xx
