A Completely Unnecessary KIKO Purchase

Hello!  A few days before I moved, I decided to have a little spend in Leeds (make the most of it, say goodbye… you get my drift!).  I find it typical that I wait for months and months for KIKO to open, and when it does I move shortly afterwards; thanks Universe.  I tried to be good…

As per usual, I decided to buy a mascara.  I couldn’t decide on a particular one (so…much…choice!) so I bought the Waterproof Top Coat Mascara.  This is a “top coat” for your lashes that transforms any mascara into a waterproof one.  Sometimes when I try a mascara, I muse “I wonder what the waterproof version would be like?”.  As I can use this product with any mascara, I like to think this is me being good and actually saving some money *pats self on back*.

I tried resisting the lip products… but I couldn’t.  I am weak.  I did buy an item that was on sale though; for £2.90 it would be rude not to… right?  I bought the Extra Volume Lipgloss in 06, a deep red.  I thought this would be a lip plumper that would make my lips physically bigger but it seems this lipgloss just makes them look bigger.

Once again, I couldn’t decide on a particular product of skincare, so I bought the Cleansing Face Brush as, once again, it can be used with all my various cleansers.  I also thought it would be interesting to blog about the comparison between this, a manual brush, and my Magnitone face brushes, that are electronic.  I’m always thinking of my blog and my readers!

I’m quite pleased with how restrained I was.  Believe me, spending a small fortune in there would be easily done in a blink of an eye.  Unfortunately for me (but great news for my bank balance), I am now a two hour  train journey away from KIKO so it looks like I’ll be ordering online in the future.

Got any KIKO recommendations for me?

  1. I recently bought some of their products from the Leeds store – they are so good. The Pencil Eyeliners are fantastic :)

  2. That shop’s pretty darn ace, isn’t it?!

I went in last month (eek – how is it SEPTEMBER already!) with Michelle and bought two cream blushers…still to try them properly, but there was so much good stuff in there! xx
