Hello! It’s parcel swap time! What originally started as a one off swap with Nicole in Tokyo has now evolved into a regular thing, and you can read the past posts on what I have received here , here , AND here ! I’m completely guilty of hoarding this parcel – I received this parcel a few weeks after moving into my new home. I even have ANOTHER parcel coming from Nicole soon, but I have to share this one with you first!
I received two magazines this month. The first one I’m going to talk about is Up . This is one I haven’t received before, so it will be interesting to see what kind of things they feature in this magazine compared to the other ones I have. From a quick flick through, it looks bright and colourful.
The other magazine I received was Maquia. I’ve had this magazine before and I enjoy its content and features. I haven’t had looked at this one yet but I will be sitting down soon with a bag of gummies to have a read.
I will never say no to some Japanese confectionary, and I love how Nicole has started to include a few bits in my parcel each time so I can try different things. I adore Meiji chocolate; I’m sat here salivating at the thought of opening the Meiji Apollo Strawberry Chocolate Cones . Oh, these need to be opened PRONTO! Another item that is making me hungry is the box of Pocky Chocolate Mint currently teasing me in this picture. You can’t really go wrong with Pocky can you? There are so many varieties to try, everyone will find their favourite flavour. I don’t want to open the Lotte x Fit’s Chewing Gum ( which I think is lime and lemon flavour ) as I LOVE the packaging!
Ooh, some Maybelline goodies! I received a Maybelline Lashionista (potential new blog name?!) mascara which reminds me of the English version we have called Lash Stiletto. Japanese mascaras are mostly lengthening formulas as Japanese women tend to have short and straight lashes. I’m excited to give this a go and see if it is the same as Lash Stiletto, or is it similar to the Illegal Length fibre mascara. Another item I was happy to receive was a Japanese version of Baby Lips lip balm. I have five of the Japanese versions now as I found them B&M and in Poundworld. I’ve been reaching for my Japanese versions more than my English ones lately as I need the extra hydration they offer. I actually had 3 sachets of the Maybelline Pure BB Mineral but I used one before I took this picture. What did I think of it? Let’s just say that I asked Nicole to include a full size one in my next parcel.
Lots of eye products for me to play with! The first item is the Urumi Liner . I’m already impressed that it comes with a sharpener as I never seem to have one to hand. I also received a ParaDo mascara , two reLevance highlighter liner s and a Tinker Wink highlighter liner . Hopefully these will disguise my long nights of playing on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time…
Finally, some small bits. I’ve had a cheeky use of the Argelan Calendula Oil Hand Cream already and it feels SO good. I will be popping it into my work bag tomorrow so I can give it a thorough testing. Who knows, maybe some Japanese beauty items will FINALLY feature on my blog? ;) Another full size item is the Canmake Eyeshadow Trio which is just at the bottom of the picture. Canmake packaging is so beautiful, it’s almost fairy tale in a sense! Nicole included this in my parcel for me to try as she knows I’m not an eyeshadow person – thank you! She also included a Clarins serum sample (it has English writing on the front but it’s in Japanese on the back!) as well as some Anna Sui samples of hand cream, primer, cleansing oil and foundation . I have always associated Anna Sui with perfumes so I’m not sure what to expect with these – I think they’ll be good! I also received some samples in Up magazine of Softymo Natu Savon Washing Cream which is a facial cleansing soap that doesn’t mineral oil, silicone or parabens.
Once again, I’ve been spoiled! What’s your favourite item? What do you think I should try first?

Those chocolate cones are adorable and nice to see some Anna Sui- a parcel swap is such a cute idea!!! xx
It is so much fun doing them! x
That hand cream looks divine, I love the packaging. I thought it would be a BB cream or something. I’d love to see how you get along with the eyeshadows, but no pressure ;) xx
I did at first! ;) Hahaha, I will try to bring myself to try them, but they’re so pretty I don’t want to ruin them xx
What a lovely selection! I love the look of the Tinker Wink (and the name!) x
Tinker Wink ;)
