A Few Justifiable Purchases from LUSH

Hello!  Even though I have been living in North Yorkshire for over a year now ( where has the time gone?! ), I am still not used to not having a LUSH store on my door step.   When presented with the opportunity to visit a store last weekend, I made sure I bought some new things to try!

The Comforter Shower Cream

This berrylicious, reassuring shower cream brings to mind warm, familiar memories. The blend of sweet cassis absolute, uplifting bergamot and assuring cypress essential oils create a blackcurranty aroma that’s like being wrapped in a snug hug.

When I heard the news that The Comforter Shower Cream would now be stocked at all LUSH stores, and would no longer be an Oxford Street exclusive, I was DELIGHTED .   The Comforter is one of my all time favourite products from LUSH; it really does “comfort” me in times of stress and sadness *gets t’violin out* .   I need to hurry up and finish the bore that is the  Soap and Glory Orangeasm Shower Gel so I can fully appreciate this.

Intergalactic Bath Bomb

Ever wondered what bathing in deep space would be like? Invite the cosmos into your bathroom with this sexy, interstellar bomb and become the guardian of your own galaxy. An awesome mix of refreshing peppermint and neon colour sends your mood rocketing, while popping candy takes you on a trip around the Milky Way. Constellations swirl and pop, creating vibrant lustre vortexes in the night sky. Before you leap too far, rogue layers of vetivert and cedarwood take hold, evoking the warmth of human contact far from home and a hint of 80s aftershave. Return from your intergalactic brief encounter as the grounding scent brings you gently back from orbit.

Seeing as my beloved Space Girl Bath Bomb has now been discontinued *shakes fist at LUSH* , I needed a new “space like” bath bomb to satisfy my hipster bath craving.   Enter Intergalactic .  I’m going to be honest here and admit I bought it just because it’s new , but now I have read the description I am INCREDIBLY excited to have a bath (and post some pictures to Instagram).  What?   All the other bloggers do it!

Frozen Bath Bomb

Do you want to have a bath bomb? Do you want to splash and play? Enjoy the most magical soak in the kingdom with this shimmering blue bath bomb, which spills out rolling snowdrifts of silver lustre. Uplifting neroli from Tunisia and precious rose oil from Turkey are sure to spread a little sunshine and melt the iciest of moods. If your day’s felt like a series of doors in your face, this shiny, sky blue bomb filled with sparkle provides the perfect fairytale ending. Step in, take a deep breath and let it go.

This is yet another item that I bought simply because it was new, but I also bought it because I wanted to join in on the Frozen banter that is currently circulating on Twitter and Instagram.   It sounds very relaxing, so no doubt I will be trying this soon!  *resists urge to make Frozen jokes* *writes them down for future review*

The Experimenter Bath Bomb

If you’re looking for adventure… you’ll find it in The Experimenter, starring vibrant colour, popping candy and Fair Trade vanilla absolute from near the Rwenzori mountains in Uganda.  An enigmatic and comforting romance of… deep, complex vetivert notes that enthrall your senses before creamy vanilla and tonka provide a sweet antidote.  It’s everything you’ve always wanted to do … and with a plethora of five bright colours, it’s the only one you’ll ever want to do it with again.   The most thrilling bath number ever staged. It’s unbelievable, it’s sensational, it’s The Experimenter.

I had seen a few pictures of The Experimenter on Instagram, and I just had to make it mine .  The bath bomb itself is incredibly colourful and eye catching ; I can only hope that it turns my bath the same colours.  It is so big I am thinking I might be able to get multiple uses out of it!  I hope I can do that, as it will tide me over until my next sneaky trip…

Have you tried anything new from LUSH?
