I’ve been having lots of good hair days recently which makes me very happy; we all know good hair days = happiness. One of the products responsible for my many good hair days is the TIGI S-Factor Silky Smooth Moisture Serum.

The TIGI S-Factor Silky Smooth Moisture Serum is now the fourth product I have tried from the S-Factor range. To recap, I have tried the Flat Iron Shine Spray Heat Defender Spray (a review that I should really rewrite, it is terrible!), the Papaya Leave-In Moisture Spray and the Serious Conditioner (which I never got round to reviewing properly). It’s fair to say that after loving the three products I had already tried, I had high expectations for this serum.
The TIGI S-Factor Silky Smooth Moisture Serum promises to “help repair signs of damage on the hair surface” as well as “smoothing it down for a silky smooth finish, whilst protecting against styling damage“. It has ingredients such as sunflower seed extract to moisturise and protect as well as hydrolyzed wheat protein to repair damaged hair. With a heat-heavy styling routine like mine, I need all the treatments I can get my grubby hands on.
One of the first things I noticed about this serum is the delicious pear scent. It smells so good, to the point where my mouth is watering and I just want to eat it. Seriously. However, after heat styling the scent disappears which of course is understandable. Whilst I do wish it lasted longer on the hair, it is probably a good thing it doesn’t last or else I would be trying to eat my own hair…
The TIGI S-Factor Silky Smooth Moisture Serum is a thin serum, almost water-like in consistency. It distributes through my hair so well, and it doesn’t make it feel weighed down or heavy. In fact, it makes my hair feel smooth, with noticeable volume and bounce. It has also reduced the amount of frizz and flyaways I had, and it’s almost like I’ve been in the salon. It gives me “I can’t stop touching it/swishing it” hair.
For my shoulder length hair, I use 1/2 a pump of serum to begin with, and then use more if required. If I do need to use more, it’s mainly on the ends of my hair. The salon-style pump is so easy to control, and I find it a lot easier to dispense small amounts. Wasting product because the pump dispenses too much is a huge pet peeve of mine! I tend to mostly use the serum on wet hair before styling but it can be used on dry hair if needed. Personally, I haven’t felt the need to use it on dry hair as it does a fantastic job of moisturising my hair and preventing frizz when used on wet hair first.
I am so impressed with this serum, and the S-Factor range. It works, and it works so well. I seriously love this serum, and it has a very firm place in my haircare routine. As I only need a small amount each time, I can see it lasting a long time. When the day comes that I do use it up, I can see myself repurchasing it. If you’re looking for a new haircare brand to try I would recommend the S-Factor range. As well as visible results, all the products smell absolutely GORGEOUS and make them such a treat to use.
