Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Shower Gel

Posted in Beauty

Hello! It’s been a long time since I wrote a Soap and Glory review so that must be remedied, pronto!  Today I will be talking about the Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Shower Gel; a product that took me by surprise… *raises eyebrow mysteriously*

I say:

I need to start off this post by saying that whenever I have the remotest of thoughts about this product, I cannot stop singing “Sugar Rush” by the Japanese girl band AKB48.  I think Soap and Glory should work out a deal with them to use this song in their advertisements!

I really want to be in AKB48 now!

Now I’ve got that out of the way, I can talk about the product in detail.  I have tried many a shower gel from Soap and Glory; I think this was one of the last few that I had left.  I received it in a Christmas gift (probably from myself… to myself!) and I wasn’t expecting much.  I had previously tried the body scrub and I didn’t like it (nothing will ever compare to The Breakfast Scrub!).

This particular shower gel is different from the others on offer as this is more of a zingy, in yo’ face smell compared to the other S&G gels that I think are quite soft and subtle.  This is a sugar + lime scent combination that does take some getting used to.  It was that strong in the first few uses that I began to worry my teeth were rotting.  Over time, I began to love the smell and enjoyed using it in the bath and shower as either a morning awakener or as an evening pick-me-up.

As well as having quite the unique smell, I’ve also noticed an improvement in my skin from using this – yes really!  I think it is a combination of the various fruit oils present in the formulation that provide a very gentle (almost chemical) exfoliation on my skin.  I’ve noticed my skin is smoother and softer, and I don’t have those pesky little bumps on the back of ma guns *flexes bingo wing seductively*.

It’s not often I repurchase a shower gel but I think for this I will make an exception.  Bring on the 3 for 2 offer!

What is your favourite Soap and Glory bath / shower product?

I’m now extremely torn. Do I go back to smelling of delicious Moringa, or do I return to the S&G club? I think I need to go on a sniffing mission in Boots tomorrow, I want non-pimply-bingo-guns! :’0

I’m using the Sugar Crush body scrub at the mo and really like it, though it’s definitely not as good as The Breakfast Scrub. I really want to get the shower gel because the scent really wakes me up in the mornings! xx

Mmmm this sounds tasty. I love Soap & Glory, their products last forever and ever. I’m still using up a Clean On Me, it’s lasted ages and I really want to try a new one but my bottle of Clean On Me seems to be refilling itself.

Their shower gels do! I think it’s the pump – you only need one or two pumps whereas with other ones you squeeze loads of it out. I think you’ll like this :) x

I keep saying I’m gonna try this but I never do, i’m not struck on Clean, Girls or there’s another shower gel and the name escapes me… neither of those float my boat but I have smelt this and it smells divine, I just need to use some of my current products up before I can justify buying this

I’m not that keen on Clean Girls either, it’s a bit boring! I want a shower gel that smells really good to make showers more fun! x
