Rimmel Clear Complexion Powder

Hello!  My apologies for the shocking photo, I’ve never met a product more difficult to photograph!  Anywho, I thought that I would talk about the Rimmel Clear Complexion Powder today.

Rimmel Clear Complexion Powder

£3.99 – Boots

They say:

Pure and shine-free finish for up to 5 hours. Clarifies skin thanks to PureSkin TM complex known to minimize skin breakouts. Controls shine and mattifies skin. Keep clear. Dermatologically tested.

I say:

After countless pots of Stay Matte, I wanted to try something a little different.   I was intrigued by the Rimmel Clear Complexion Powder as it claims to help minimise skin breakouts – who doesn’t want to put a stop to spots?  I had read a few reviews before purchasing that it was perfect for the summer.

I’m just going to come out and say it – I am disappointed in this product.   I use powders to set my make up for the day and personally,  I feel that  this product does not do that. Yes, it’s a light product and it is supposed to be, but I don’t feel it lasts that long on me –  I don’t think it lasts 5 hours as claimed.  I don’t feel it helped with skin breakouts either, and I had a few during the first few weeks of using this product.  It can also feel a little chalky and a little rough.

I think for those who want something light in the summer to keep them shine free in the summer, this might be a good product.  I would imagine you would have to top it up often to keep up the effect though!  The great thing about this powder is that it’s slim, light and can fit in most bags.  It’s just not the one for me unfortunately!  I wonder if Stay Matte will take me back…

Clear and shiny packaging is always such a pain to photograph. I remember loving this years ago when I first started wearing makeup but my taste in makeup has changed a lot in 6 years.

I thought this was utter crap. It was really chalky, and ended up smashing into a billion pieces after my third or fourth use. Cue me having to dust off everything in my make up bag! I kind of like it better how you’ve photographed it, love me some 3D lettering haha :) x

Haha aw thanks! I cringed when I uploaded it. I’m glad you find it chalky too, I felt like I was the only one. x
