This has been sat in my drafts for so long now. If you don’t believe me, this is what I originally started off with: Not long now until the big Soap & Glory bundle goes down to £25.00… eee! But for now, I shall bring you a review of a product I bought to tide me over until then.
These super moisture-suds contain peppermint essential oils, grapeseed EFAS, fruitliquid fig and orange waterjuice™. Scented with our new Fruitigo™ fragrance
I think it’s safe to say that Soap & Glory have a firm place in my bath/shower routine. I always have one of their scrubs and body washes in my cabinet as I just love, love, love them. I bought this one after trying Calm One, Calm All and Clean On Me previously. I very rarely repurchase the same one as I like to try new ones (#beautybloggerproblems) (like omg did you just hashtag on something that wasn’t Twitter?!) (yeah I did come at me bro).
First off, if you have tried Clean On Me (or if you haven’t) it’s pretty much the same. The same type of bottle, same amount, same price (I think) and same formula/consistency.
The different thing is the smell. That’s it. This has the “Fruitigo” fragrance which you also can get with Pulp Friction (a foaming scrub) and Butter Yourself (a body butter). I quite like it. It’s not my all time favourite smell but it’s not overpowering either. I would recommend this if you find the Original Pink Scent a bit too much for you. It’s not overly fruity – like I said with Pulp Friction it’s definitely a scent I have come across before, but for the life of me I just can’t remember which.
Now on to the product itself. S&G say “Rub a handful onto damp skin, massage until it bubbles up, then rinse”. I disagree. If you do that you’ll be massaging yourself red raw for nuffin’.
The way I do it is to dispense it on to a shower puff (which I received in the “Small Wonders” set) and then give yourself a scrub with that. It foams up so much better and the shower puff (thing) also exfoliates gently.
One of my favourite things about this product however, is the packaging. I’m a sucker for these kind of things.
This is what I don’t understand – “for adult use only”. What defines an adult in Soap and Glory’s eyes? And how do they make sure only adults use it? Will I one day be interrupted mid scrub by the S&G Police, all because I still watch Victorious a 19 years of age? (CABBIE FOREVER) Is it because I can quite happily watch 8 hours of Adventure Time in one sitting? (I am Lumpy Space Princess).
Anywho, it is rating time now. I’m going to give it 4/5. It’s a good product. I like it. It smells nice. It’s has lasted me ages compared to other shower products by different brands. But, it’s just not a 5 star product in my eyes.
