April has been and gone, and I am another year older. Here’s hoping my brain gets better with age, and I can finally come up with a witty introduction for my monthly favourites. This month I was loving… *prods you to read on*
Paul Mitchell Marula Oil Shampoo and Conditioner
The Paul Mitchell Marula Oil line is a new release and as far as I am aware, isn’t out yet. I myself have limited information about the range. However, I can tell you that the Marula Oil line is comprised of a shampoo, conditioner, oil and deep treatment which boasts the power of marula oil. Marula oil has 50% more protective antioxidants than argan oil, and it also contains a high concentration of nutrients and oleic acids that help to hydrate, repair and moisturize hair at the deepest levels. How good does that sound? I can happily say that they are as good as they sound, and they make my hair feel amazing. From the first use, my hair was soft, shiny, and frizz free. With continued use, it has been looking and feeling healthier, and even though I have been avoiding the hairdressers you wouldn’t be able to tell thanks to these products. I can’t wait to share the full line with you all soon!
A repeat favourite that you’re probably all tired of seeing, but seriously, I love this BB cream so much! If you missed it, I did a full review with before and after pictures. I have linked above *points to link* , but in summary it is exactly what you want in a BB cream. It is lightweight, gives light to medium coverage with SPF and most importantly, it looks after your skin.
I’m coming to the end of this bottle, and the beauty blogger in me would like to try a new BB cream. If you have any recommendations for a BB cream with skincare benefits, I would love to hear them. I’m thinking possibly Dr Jart, or Skin 79…? *daydreams about BB creams*
Essence Lip Liner
I’ve been loving liquid lipsticks recently, but they weren’t loving me… *sad face* I lack the steady hand required to use them, and I had been guilty of over-lining my lips on many occasions (and not even on purpose). From watching many YouTube tutorials, I realised that I needed to use a lipliner first. I’ve been using this offering from Essence, and I’m ashamed I didn’t pick one up sooner! At £1, it definitely won’t break the bank and it does exactly what you need it to. It’s been a great product to use to practice lining my lips properly, and it has been making a difference to how I apply my lipstick and how long it lasts. I need to try more from Essence – any recommendations?
