Hello! There has been a distinct lack of LUSH on my blog lately – damn you North Yorkshire and your lack of LUSH stores. *shakes fist at sky* When I finally managed to get to a LUSH store (which was 1 & 1/2 hours away – *wails dramatically*) there was only one product on my mind – the LUSH Ultraviolet Bubble Bar.

The LUSH Ultraviolet Bubble Bar came to my attention via the ever so lovely Kel. The promise of a bubble bar with the the scent of Parma Violet sweets was too much for me to take; the scent of Parma Violet sweets is one of my favourite scents EVER. If this bubble bar had that scent, well then I needed it! As much as I love Space Girl, I can only use it once, whereas this bubble bar could last me for something crazy like 20 uses.
As this was a product aimed at mothers for Mother’s Day, LUSH have also added in Jasmine Absolute, Rosewood Oil and Ylang Ylang Oil into the the mix – creating a bubble bar that relaxes, soothes and moisturises. It’s the perfect bubble bar to use for those times you want to have an hour to yourself to unwind and relax… just what mothers need!
The violet scent is just enough to satisfy my sweet tooth, but the other scents included give the bubble bar a subtle “earthy” edge that stops the scent from becoming too sickly.
LUSH Bubble Bars can always be counted on to create some crazy bubbles, and this did not disappoint! They were almost towering over the taps at one point. I am glad that LUSH added Snowflake Lustre to this bubble bar instead of glitter, as the lustre gave the water a subtle shimmer without being too much.
The oils in the bubble bar, namely Ylang Ylang and Rosewood Oil, add a slight hydration boost to dry limbs without the dreaded “oily” feeling. A word of warning though – it can leave baths slippery, so be careful getting out and be sure to rinse the bath afterwards. No one wants to find you, legs akimbo, showing off what you’ve got… and a little bit of what you haven’t.
Even though this was a Mother’s Day product, it’s still available online (and possibly in some LUSH stores). If you see it, grab one! I know I will be hoarding as many as I can until I get a confirmation as to whether it is part of the permanent line or not. Please can you make this a permanent product, LUSH? I love it so! I even have a spare one in my stash just for me to take out and sniff when I feel a bit sad… *batters eyelashes furiously*
Would you try the Ultraviolet Bubble Bar?
