Empties #1

Posted in Beauty

Hello!  I wanted to start writing up empties posts again as a motivator to use up the (disgustingly large) stash.  I can’t find my old empties posts as I think my past self deleted them all for some reason… Oh well, no harm in starting afresh!  Here are the few bits I managed to use up recently.

Empties - Famous in Japan

LUSH Ultraviolet Bubble Bar

The LUSH Ultraviolet Bubble Bar is a new addition to LUSH’s bubble bar range but it is one I have fallen quickly in love with.  It was love from the first use!  This violet scented bubble bar is up there with The Comforter as one of my favourite LUSH products ever.  I’m keeping everything crossed that it isn’t limited edition as I am not sure what I will do if I can’t get hold of another one…  Is that corner over there free to cry in?

Repurchase? YES!

Boots Build Up Removal Shampoo

The Boots Build Up Remover is an essential in my haircare routine.  It was originally an impulse buy but it quickly became a repurchase.   It does an amazing job for a fraction of the price of some other brands’ offerings.  My hair would be lost without this bargain build up remover, and I dread to think what state my hair would get into without it.

Repurchase? Yes!

Garnier UltraDry Anti-Perspirant

I think I bought this as it was on offer, and I needed a cheap antiperspirant.   Sadly, it didn’t seem to do anything for me and I think it might have made me sweat even more.  *grumpy face*   Even though it is a boring item to include in my empties, I was hoping some of you might be able to give me some recommendations for an antiperspirant that actually WORKS?  Please help me!  Summer is coming and I AM NOT READY.

Repurchase? No

Pure Smile Apple Mango Yoghurt Essence Mask

This was a gift from Nicole in one of our many parcel swaps.   I like Japanese sheet masks; they’re a great excuse for 20 minutes of pampering.  Unfortunately, this mask didn’t seem to do much for my stressed out skin.

Repurchase?  I wouldn’t repurchase this particular mask, but I haven’t given up on Pure Smile just yet.  I know they have a face mask for me out there!

Clinique All About Eyes Eye Cream

This eye cream took forever to use up, even though it was a deluxe sample and not a full size pot.  I suppose that shows how far it can go for the price!   It’s a very light eye cream but sadly this didn’t do a lot for me.  It didn’t seem to help with any concern that I had, whilst other eye creams do.   For that reason, I wouldn’t repurchase a full size of this eye cream.

Repurchase? No.

Softymo Natu Savon Washing Cream – Moist (sample)

This little sample of face wash was included in a parcel swap with Nicole (yes, another one!).  I can’t remember much of it, apart from it being really, REALLY foamy.  I’m not sure I would repurchase it again, or ask for a full size in a future parcel swap.  It evidently didn’t “wow” me – I would have remembered more about it otherwise!

Repurchase? No.

I’m going to make it my mission to use up some more products next month!  I will conquer the stash…

It feels so satisfying to finish products off doesn’t it? I seem to be finishing quite a lot of things up at the moment, which makes me feel good, though I am going to have to replace some bits and bobs though.

      It really does!
At least you can replace them without feeling guilty :) it’s more of a reward for using them up in the first place! x
