Great Scott! Was my last “Current Haircare Favourites” post really in 2014? Wow, I really need to start talking about my hair more… Here are my current haircare loves.
My photography is particularly rubbish today – one of my bulbs blew out and I couldn’t figure out how to compose two aerosol cans and a tub prettily enough *sobs*
I have already spoken in detail of my love for the COLAB Dry Shampoo (Classic) but for those of you who are new around here (or perhaps too lazy to click the above link) I will summarise for you. I was incredibly impressed with the way the COLAB dry shampoo refreshed my hair without being heavy, itchy or noticeable. After loving Original, I had to pick up the Tokyo scent (it’s for the blog after all) and I love it even more. Tokyo is described as having “accents of orchid & mandarin with an aromatic base of sandalwood“. To me, it’s like a sweet, flowery scent that isn’t overpowering and is actually quite fun (if scents can be described as fun…). If you are looking for an alternative to the “usual” brand of dry shampoo *wink wink*, I would definitely recommend COLAB dry shampoos. I’m sure there is a scent to suit all noses.
Another item I have spoken about in detail before is the TIGI Catwalk Sleek Mystique Haute Iron Spray. Being a slave to the powerful overlords that are ghds, I need a heat protectant that is going to be to handle the heat without weighing my hair down unnecessarily. I have been reaching for this particular one from TIGI a lot recently and you know what? I love it even more than I did when I originally reviewed it. It protects my hair against heat and conditions my hair at the same time. I don’t always have time to use a deep conditioner, so being able to condition my hair just a little every day has been a hair saver. I really need to try more from TIGI; I feel like I have been missing out… *remembers spending ban* *sulks in corner*
And finally, a haircare favourite that is a little more luxurious than the previous two. I tried the Kérastase Nutritive Masque Nutrithermique way back in my Tumblr days but the price tag was too much to justify repurchasing. Over Christmas, I spied that it was on offer and whoops, my fingers slipped and ordered it. If you have dry, damaged hair through straightening then you need this product. It will make your hair feel so incredibly soft you will be asking everyone to stroke it. It is an intensive treatment; whilst I have only been using it every now and again, I’ve seen a difference already. I will try my best to review this in detail with you soon as it is too good to keep to myself.
I’d love to know of any hair products you have been loving recently?
