Hello! I have been thinking a lot about my blog lately and what I can do to get it out of it’s little rut. After my blog survey, I realised that some of you would like to see more Japanese things on my blog – and I want to blog about them! I’m planning on doing some blog posts about the resources I’m using to learn Japanese in the near future but for now I thought I would show you the bits Nicole sent me!
It’s story time: Nicole originally sent me a parcel way before Christmas. I received a “sorry you weren’t in” card, also known as the red card of fury, and S agreed to go up the next day to get it. He went to two different post offices and was told that they didn’t have it, despite the card. I rung Royal Mail Customer Services, both post offices and the main sorting office for my area and I was told that still no one had my parcel. This went on weeks and I rung several times a day. It was an absolute joke. Obviously some postman had decided to swipe my parcel for himself as to this day, I still haven’t received it nor as Nicole had the parcel returned. All I was told that they had no record of receiving my parcel (LIES) and all they could say was that they hoped that I would regain confidence in them over time. I still haven’t forgiven Royal Mail and it will be a long time before I do.
Anywho, let’s have a peek at what Nicole sent me. I have to say it was incredibly kind of Nicole to send me another parcel after the first one went missing and I’m so grateful!
I got such a variety of goodies! I received a Biteki magazine which is the same size as a Glamour magazine. Japanese magazines like Biteki and Voce are far superior to our English magazines as I find they are more beauty focused whereas English magazines try to balance beauty with gossip, fashion and lifestyle. I have yet to find an English magazine that satisfies my need for beauty knowledge and news! We all know that English magazines are basically paid to feature the product in a magazine, regardless of whether it works or not. *gives evil eye to Origins Ginzing*
I also got a Majolica Majorca Lash King mascara as well as a Majolica Majorca Meltysnow hand cream, a K-Palette 1 day tattoo liquid eyeliner (liquid eyeliner is one of my current obsessions!) and a Canmake eyeshadow primer. She also included in some (what I think are) bath salts, candy and matcha pocky!
Believe it or not, I actually haven’t touched any of these yet – they are all still in their gift bag! As silly as it sounds, I want to keep them in their packaging until I can read it and understand it (I may also be a slight hoarder).
